By Thomas Horton

In that singular moment

Lost in reverie

With my head back

And eyes closed

Feeling your weight

Against my chest

My hands exploring

The lines and curves

Of your smooth flesh

I realized the divinity

Of your physical perfection

And cursed my every cell

Next to your tight tanned body

I felt so inferior

So much less than human

Corpulent and blubbery

Pale and amorphous

Flawed and worthless

You arched your muscular back

Craned your neck

And kissed me

With such passion and abandon

That suddenly

I forgot my shortcomings

And I became you

In that moment

I too was
